Tourist Visa Requirements:
- Passport, valid for 9 months at the time of application and with 4 consecutive blank pages.
- Completed application form (see below).

- Original letter from applicant’s employeraddressed to The Consular Section, Embassy of Angola, 46 Bedford Square, London WC1B 3DP. This must confirm the applicant’s employment and include the following details:
a) full name
b) nationality
c) date of birth
d) place of birth
e) passport number
f) passport issue date
g) passport expiry date
h) job title
i) entry & exit dates. - Original (OR colour copy of) letter of invitation from Angolan company, stamped by the relevant ministry in Angola (for example MINPET for oil related visits), addressed to Secção Consular, Embaixada de Angola, 46 Bedford Square, London WC1B 3DP, and requesting the visa. This letter must be written in Portugese on company letter-headed paper, accept financial responsibility for the visit and include the following details –
a) full name
b) nationality
c) date of birth
d) place of birth
e) passport number
f) passport issue date
g) passport expiry date
h) job title
i) current employer
j) project in Angola
k) purpose of travel. - Itinerary ie. flight booking.
- Colour copy of –
EITHER utility bill,
OR council tax bill/letter,
OR UK driving licence,
OR recent bank statements,
which in all cases must show the applicant’s name and UK address. - Colour copy of International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever.
- Letter requesting the visa to be issued on a specified date, addressed to The Consular Section, Embassy of Angola, 46 Bedford Square, London WC1B 3DP.
Visa fee & processing time:
Single entry 7 days
£325 for (Next Day Express)
£260 for (3 Day Express)
£130 for (8 days Normal)
Handling charges:
£150 for express service
£100 for normal service
Please note:
Applications are only accepted by the embassy on Mondays and Tuesdays.
A business visa must be approved in Angola, which can take up to 2 months. Moreover, applicants should be aware that withdrawing a passport once lodged can itself take up to a month.
We therefore recommend that UK passport holders apply for a second passport, so they can still travel elsewhere while this visa is being processed.
